Oliver Klepsch

 

Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), Deputy Head of Section

Graduated from the law school of the University of Mainz in 1998. After graduating as fully qualified lawyer in 2000, he worked as a lawyer with the M&A team of an international law firm Frankfurt am Main. Oliver Klepsch started working for the former Federal Supervisory Office for Securities Trading (Bundesaufsichtsamt für den Wertpapierhandel - BAWe) in 2002 and worked for several sections of securities supervision. From 2002 to 2007 he worked in the section "Takeovers". There he was a member of the working group set up by the German Federel Ministry of Finance and BaFin preparing the implementation of the takeover directive. Since June 2007, he has become deputy head of section WA 13 and deals with administrative fines proceedings. Within the framework of the Twinning Project, he assists the Turkish CMB as a short-term expert in drafting legislation in the area of takeover law.
