The Draft Turkish Commercial Code (DTCC), by referring to sound corporate governance measures and by using the EU Company Law as a guiding benchmark, has enabled for the adoption of new regulations and amendments in Turkish Company Law and its modernization thereof, and thus the DTCC is regarded as an important corner stone and is being closely monitored by both individuals from the academic side as well as from members from the business world. Within this context, our Board has scheduled an International Conference on "Impacts of the Draft Turkish Commercial Code (DTCC) on Capital Markets from the Perspective of the European Union" which is due to take place during 16th-17th of December 2008.
